Experience

I have over 30 years of experience designing, writing, and maintaining software applications. I'm now focused on providing the best in web-site design, update, and maintenance. I've written web sites and applications using HTML, PHP, JavaScript, MySQL, various other relational and object-oriented databases, Java, and JSP. I recently completed work on an Android App for competitive rowing, RowStat, in beta test now.

Technical Editing

I was the Technical Editor for two books published by McGraw-Hill. Both written by Robin Nixon, they are Plug-In JavaScript: 100 Power Solutions and Plug-In CSS & HTML: 100 Power Solutions. My role as Technical Editor included testing the example programs, suggesting changes, and proofreading.

I was technical reviewer for two books: Learning PHP, MySQL, and JavaScript: A Step-by-Step Guide to Creating Dynamic Websites, by Robin Nixon from O'Reilly; and PHP Advanced and Object-Oriented Programming: Visual QuickPro Guide, 3rd Edition by Larry Ullman from Peachpit Press.

A Few Examples and Availability

I was sole software developer for RowStat, an Android App written in Java, which was the result of a collaboration between myself and Net Effects, Inc.

My most recent web-site, created from scratch, is for for Forte Technical Sales which called for many simultaneous animations and other effects which I implemented using Javascript and YUI.

A site I have modified heavily and maintained is quite different: Society Dog.
